Kurdistan Region imposes lockdown during Ramadan Eid

Kurdistan Regional government imposed 72 hour lockdown during the Ramadan Eid days.

In a statement issued Monday night, the interior minister of Kurdistan Region said that during the entire three days of Eid, strict lockdwn will be applied over the cities and provinces of Kurdistan Region for 72 hours-until the end of the eid.

The new measure comes after the health ministry announced 10 more new cases of COVID-19, which were all in Slemani governorate.

It's also worth to mention, the Iraqi government has stated earlier they will reimpose firm lockdown as well.
