The parliament of Kurdistan Region was expected to hold a regular session today, Sunday, Jul 26, 2020.

However, the meeting was not held due to the boycotting of Kurdistan Islamic Group and Kurdistan Islamic Union. The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan did not attend the session as well, as it has previously stated that they would not participate in any parliamentary session until the issues with KDP settle down.

The Presidency of Kurdistan parliament, on the other hand, said “After negotiation with the parliamentary factions, it was decided to postpone the meeting for tomorrow Monday, so as to provide a better atmosphere for co-understanding,”
