Lahur Talabani states that August 31 is a black spot in the history of Kurdish liberation movement, and will never be forgotten.

PUK Co-leader Lahur Talabani wrote on his official Facebook account, on Monday, Aug 31, "On the remembrance of 24th anniversary  of August 31 catastrophe, we bow head of respect and prestige infront of every single Peshmarga, cadres annd citizens who were martyred in a treacherous manner."

He also added, "August 31 is a black spot in the history of Kurdish liberation movement, and will never be forgotten."
