Qubad Talabani, deputy PM of Kurdistan Regional Government, hopes that the political factions to form the new government as soon as possible in order to continue the reforms they have started four years ago so as to get rid of the crises.
Talabani said these during a meeting with a French parliamentary delegation and French consul to Iraq and Kurdistan Region.
In the gathering, Talabani thanked France and its people for their unwavering support and aids to Kurdish people and KRG (Kurdistan Regional Government). Concerning the situation between Iraq and Kurdistan Region, he wished for the problems existing between the central government and the Region to be resolved.
“The negotiations for forming the structure of the new Kurdistani government have not been initiated properly yet,” he remarked.
He also reiterated the issues of Iraq and Kurdistan Region are mutual in terms of security and politics, and more importantly the case of ISIL terrorists.
Regarding the circumstance of Kurdistan Region, Talabani asserted: after the election, the Region is going through a fragile and transient situation, wishing for the political factions to form the new government as soon as possible in order to continue the reforms they have started four years ago so as to get rid of the crises and to serve their people in the best manner.
In another part of their meeting, the deputy PM pointed out that still a large number of the central Iraqi refugees are living in Kurdistan Region and in need of help. In turn, the French delegation stressed that they as usual will be the backer and helper of Kurdistani Government and Kurdish people.
