PUK Co-leaders welcomed Dutch ambassador to Iraq Michel Rentenaar and Dutch Consul General to Kurdistan Region Hans Akerboom, on Sunday, Nov 1, in Slemani.

"At the meeting, we discussed the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan’s recommendations and resolutions for Kurdistan, Iraq, and the region. Balanced politics and cooperation with regards to decision making and governance are essential." PUK Co-chair, Lahur Talabany, wrote on his Facebook account.

He also added, "Our present-day climate requires us to work together towards our future and to resolve issues with the Federal government in Baghdad on the basis of the constitution and the law. Regarding Kurdish governance and internal affairs, we reiterated that better governance is observed within the course of the people’s livelihood, current crisis, and hardships."
