Deputy Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region, Qubad Talabani, said that “Our dialogues with Baghdad are proceeding, we have not failed, and we try to reach an agreement before the end of this year.”
The Kurdistan Region’s Deputy PM and head of KRG delegation to federal government, Qubad Talabani, said during a Press Conference in Baghdad, “We have come to Baghdad to implement the draft law of financing the fiscal deficit, and we wait to receive the Kurdistan Region’s financial quota before the end of this year.” Adding, “Baghdad has imposed two conditions on Kurdistan Region, and Kurdistan Regional Government has shown readiness to implement them.”
“We have agreed with the federal government on the draft law of 2021 budget, our negotiations with Iraqi government continue, we have not lost, and we try to reach an accord before the end of this year.” Qubad Talabani stated during his Press Conference.
Moreover, he asserted that Kurdistan Regional Government has expressed readiness to deliver interior and oil revenues to Baghdad formerly, and “We are expecting from the Iraqi government to send the financial shares of Kurdistan Region in return” he said.
