A Kurdistan Region’s delegation is supposed to visit Baghdad today, in order to discuss the region’s share in the Iraq’s 2021 budget bill with the Iraqi parliament’s financial committee.

Ahmad Safar, decision-maker of the financial committee in the Iraq’s House of Representative has told Iraqi medias, that on Saturday Jan 23, the financial committee and a Kurdistan Regional delegation will meet up to negotiate over the Kurdistan Region’s quota in the Iraq’s 2021 budget bill.

Safar added, “If Kurdistan Region and the financial committee reach a co-understanding, the articles in the 2021 budget bill will most probably be accepted as they are.”

He also stated, big changes have been done in the budget bill to reduce expenditure and raise revenues as a bid to fill in the financial cut.
