The Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) congratulated in a statement the people of Kurdistan on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, on Monday, Jul 19.

"On the occasion of the Eid al-Adha, we extend our warmest congratulations and blessings to the masses of the people of Kurdistan with all its segments and components, the families of the righteous and the Anfal martyrs, the victims of chemical bombardment and the heroic Peshmerga forces" the statement read.

It explained that Eid al-Adha coincides with the passage of sensitive situations in Iraq and the region, PUK politburo hopes all Kurdish political forces to enhance harmony between them and protect the unity of the ranks from the perspective of protecting the higher interests of the people of Kurdistan.

The statement hoped "This holiday will become an occasion to promote tolerance and deepen the spirit of harmony among the people."
