The Kurdistan Region’s Ministry of Health issued the data of the coronavirus infection within the past 24 hours of the region, calling on the citizens to abide y the health measures as the infection rate increases dramatically.

According to the statement, 3,559 covid-19 cases have been registered within the past 24 hours, 13 patients have succumbed to death while 1041 infectees have recovered.

The health minister visited Duhok governorate today, as the highest number of corona cases was recorded there.

“Health situation in the Kurdistan Region for coronavirus spread is getting worse,” The health minister said.

He added, “We have only two ranks to reach the red color, which is the dangerous situation of the coronavirus outbreak,” he noted.

The Kurdistan Region has authorized the use of Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Sinopharm vaccines and over 160,000 people have received the coronavirus vaccines in the Region.

The new cases brought the Region’s tally to 217,565 and 4,702 deaths.
