The initial electoral results of Iraq’s parliamentary election were deleted in the website of Iraq’s High Electoral Commission (IHEC).
A source from IHEC said that the removal of the results is related to revising the electoral results of 8547 polling stations.
“The votes of those polling stations will be rechecked under the observation of Medias, international and local observers, and IHEC. The results will be published at the Commission’s website later.” he said.
The IHEC has stated earlier that the votes of 3100 polling stations will be recounted manually in Baghdad.
The Iraq’s electoral commission has also said that those votes will count for 6% of the whole votes, and were separated for recounting due to technical issues.
