PUK’s politburo member, Saadi Ahmed Pire, received on Tuesday Fuad Al-Majali, Consul-General of the Kingdom of Jordan in the Kurdistan Region, in Erbil.

The meeting touched upon the political situation in Iraq and Kurdistan, mainly the Iraqi parliamentary election, and the two sides stressed on strengthening bilateral relations.

Pire mentioned the long-standing relations between the late President Mam Jalal, the late King Hussein, and the family of the Kingdom of Jordan. "We will continue this friendly relationship to protect the interests of the Kurdish people and the people of our neighboring Jordanian kingdom." Pire said.

"We hope to develop our relationship on different levels and fields among them business, economy, health, education, and tourism, for this purpose, we will do all facilitation and cooperation with the citizens of Kurdistan region," Fuad Al-Majali said.
