The delegation of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) on Thursday met with the political body of the Sadrist movement to discuss political developments and the results of the Iraqi elections.

Khalid Shwani, the head of the delegation of the PUK, said that in the meeting with the political body of the Sadrist Movement, they discussed the political situation, the results of the Iraqi elections and the next political stage.

"The PUK's discussions with the political parties are consultative, and official meetings will start after the announcement of the final results of the elections," he added.

A delegation from PUK arrived in the Iraqi capital Baghdad two days ago to evaluate the political situation after the recent elections of the Iraqi Council of Representatives and exchange views on the direction of the parties and the environment of reaching an agreement for forming the next government.
