The vehicle registration plates will be changed into a new type in the next year, Iraq’s ministry of interior announced.

The Iraq’s General Directorate of Traffic said in a statement that “At the beginning of the 2022 year the changing of car plate number will be set into practice in all the Iraq’s governorates,”

He added, “The old plate will be changed into English,”

The new type of vehicle registration plate will be used for 10 years, because according to Vienna Convention car number plate should be altered every 10 year.
