On the thirty fourth anniversary of the Halabja chemical attack, the Iraqi President, Barham Salih, reiterated that the crime against Halabja embodies the suffering of the Kurdish people and all Iraqis.
"Halabja, the deep wound in our conscience, embodies the suffering of the Kurdish people and all Iraqis, the crime that targeted everything alive on this valiant land." He tweeted.
Salih also added, "It is a painful human moment that generated the determination to fight injustice and tyranny and the right to a free and dignified life until its people today have become a symbol of redemption, steadfastness, advancement, and freedom,"
