No one allowed to have special forces, Bafel Jalal Talabani says

On Tuesday, Bafel Jalal Talabani visited the 70 forces command of Peshmerga to get a close look at the latest developments and changes.

The meeting was attended by Shalaw Kosrat Rasul, Shorsh Ismail, Minister of the Peshmerga, and Jalal Sheikh Naji, Head of Zanyari Intelligence Agency.

During the meeting, they discussed the development and arming of the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces and the movements of the remnants of the terrorist organization ISIS.

Bafel Jalal Talabani stressed the development of human, military, and media capabilities by continuing efforts to build a solid and modern force.

He also affirmed that intensive and continuous training and the provision of supplies are the important pillars for training the Peshmerga in the best way.

Bafel Jalal Talabani also spoke about the importance of intelligence capabilities, saying that the security forces must cooperate and coordinate according to accurate and reliable information in carrying out military operations and protecting stability in the Kurdistan Region, which is above all interests.

The meeting also witnessed the recent movements of ISIS, while Qubad Jalal Talabani assigned the military leaders to stand firmly against the moves and plans that pose a threat to the Kurdistan Region, emphasizing the importance of joint action and coordination between the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi army.

Bafel Jalal Talabani affirmed that along with other security forces, the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces must protect citizens' properties. "We will not allow anyone to have a special force, if so, we will stand against him entirely," he added.
