Dr. Rewaz Fayeq, Speaker of Kurdistan Regional Parliament, received the British Consul-General in Erbil, David Hunt, to address the political process in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, on Wednesday May 11.

"All national issues that have political dimensions must be based on understandings and consensus among all parliamentary blocs. Previous experiences have proven that working according to the principle of consensus has positive results on the overall political process and guarantees the rights of all components in the Kurdistan Region." Kurdistan Region's Speaker of parliament said.

In turn, Hunt stressed the need for the unity of the Kurdish house and its importance to the overall political process in Iraq because, in the end, it will be a source of stability and harmony for all Iraqis.
