A delegation from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK) has met on Tuesday in Erbil.

Both sides have agreed on the necessity of forming a constitution for the Kurdistan Region, for that reason legal procedures must be launched, according to a joint statement released after the meeting.

Either party’s has stressed dealing with the matter of the next parliamentary election of the Kurdistan Region and electoral commission of the Region as a national matter that requires further discussion and compromise between all political parties to reach a comprehensive agreement.
