The President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Bafel Jalal Talabani, received the Secretary-General of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq movement, Qais Khazali.

In the meeting, which was attended by the administrator of PUK's Political Bureau, Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, and two members of the Political Bureau, Khalid Shwani and Rizgar Hama, views were exchanged on the general situation in Iraq, and efforts were unified to form the next government.

The meeting also stressed addressing problems and boosting efforts to overcome obstacles and reach a national agreement based on real participation, the framework of which is the constitution and the public interest.

During the meeting, all political forces and parties were invited to a national meeting to address the problems on the dialogue table and reach an agreement to save Iraq from the political crisis and form a government that would lead the country toward political, social, and economic stability.

President Bafel stressed the PUK's keenness to agree and address the problems, declaring, "We are all facing a fateful situation, and our decisions must be in the service of the people and the country. We must deepen the spirit of harmony and coexistence and walk together towards a prosperous future."
