On Monday, Jun 27, the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Bafel Jalal Talabani, received the leaders of the Coordination Framework, including Nuri al-Maliki, Hadi al-Amiri, Qais al-Khazali, Muthanna al-Samarrai, head of the Azim Alliance, and Rayan al-Kildani, head of the Babylon Movement, in Baghdad.

The meeting touched upon addressing the latest developments concerning the formation of the new Iraqi government and reiterated the need to form a strong government that can overcome the challenges and obstacles.

The meeting also called to accelerate the efforts so as to form a national serving government soon that can build a stable future and provide services at all levels. They also stressed that the legal and constitutional rights of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq should be preserved.
