Earlier today on Thursday, 11/7/2019, PUK political member Hakim Qadr Hamajan and KDP spokesman Mahmud Muhammad, announced Taib Jabar as the mutual candidate of both sides for the post of Kirkuk governor, during a press conference.

Taib Jabar is engineer, and had taken different responsibilities in Kurdistan Regional government formerly.

The question of Kirkuk governor was one of the main issue between PUK and KDP, which has been remained unresolved for a prolongd time due to different perspectives in treating the issue.
