Iraqi PM arrives in Kurdistan Region

A senior delegation from Iraq headed by the Iraqi PM, Adil Abdul Mahdi, arrived in Kurdistan Region and welcomed by Kurdistan Regional President, Nechirvan Barzani.

Today January 11, 2020 Iraqi PM headed to Kurdistan Region by a military aircraft, and was welcomed by senior Kurdistan Regional officials.

The Iraqi delegation encompassed the caretaker of Iraqi government Adil Abdul Mahdi, the Finance Minister Foad Hussein, The Foreign Minister Muhammed Hakim, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Qusai Suhail, and a number of consultants of Ministerial Council.

The Kurdistan Regional delegation, who was welcoming the Iraqi delegation, included Kurdistan Regional President Nechirvan Barzani, deputy PM Qubad Talabani, the Regional Financial Minister Awat Sheikh Janab, Head of Council in Kurdistan Regional Presidency Fawzi Hariri and Head of Kurdistan Region’s Foreign Affairs Safin Dizeyi.

The officials of Iraq and Kurdistan Region are supposed to discuss the tensions in Iraq, issues between Iran and U.S, and the question of U.S troop’s withdrawal in Iraq.
