Qubad Talabani highlights UK's support for Kurdistan Region

 Deputy PM of Kurdistan Region discussed the ISIS threats in Iraq and the region with a Britain’s military delegation.
On Jan 15, 2020 Quabd Talabani, deputy Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region received a Britain’s military delegation to Kurdistan Region, addressing the risk of ISIS re-emergence. The British delegation included Sir John Lorimer, representative of UK PM, and Britain’s Consul General to Kurdistan Region.
In the meeting, the importance of continued aid of the coalition forces for Kurdistan Region and Peshmarga was highlighted in favor of confronting terrorism, and both sides agreed that the threats of terror are still present and all the efforts shall be reinforced to face terrorism.
“We emphasized the importance of the UK’s ongoing support of the KRG as well as reform of the Peshmerga.” Talabani wrote in his Facebook account.
In another part of the meeting, the efforts of Britain to deescalate the situation through dialogue and suitable mechanism was addressed.
