On Thursday Feb 6, 2020 Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region, Qubad Talabani, received Norwegian special envoy and French ambassador to Iraq in a bid to address the current situation in the region and Iraq.

"In two separate meetings with Knut Lien, the Norwegian Foreign Ministry's Special Envoy for iraq and Syria and French Ambassador to Iraq Bruno Aubert, we discussed a range of issues, including the reemergence of ISIS and the latest political developments in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the wider region." Talabani wrote in his Facebook account.

He also went to add, "We reaffirmed the need to resolve the issues through a national dialogue supported by the United Nations, the Marjaia, and the national political parties."
