PUK: Mam Jalal and Nawshirwan Mustafa wanted a joint leadership between PUK and Gorran

On the occasion of the death anniversary of Nawshirwan Mustafa, PUK leadership announced a statement, May 19, 2020.

"Today is the death anniversary of a heroic Kurdistani leader. On this occasion, we bow our heads toward the mindset and struggle of a national author, who, along the difficult and far pathways of the nation, picked up culture, literature and history of Kurdistan's revolution, and left us with a huge treasure of politics, history, social and linguistic after himself." The statement said.

The statement also added, "Patriotic Union of Kurdistan always look at the struggle of Nawshirwan Mustafa and his companions in PUK with loyality, that have started the new Kurdish revolution so as to establish freedom, democracy, justice and self-determination."

The statement noted, "We remember the last political move of Mam Jalal and Nawshirwan Mustafa was to create a joint leadership between PUK and Gorran. Today, we see the continuation of that move, as our main duty and we struggle for it."
